Ben Knight is a very highly rated youngster at Ipswich Town who we and other top clubs have been taking a keen interest in.
Right now the 16-year-old (17 next January) left-footed English striker has joined Spurs for a trip to San Diego to play in a youth tournament there for us over this weekend.
Ipswich Town wants him to commit to staying at the club because they can offer him first-team football, while Manchester City wants to add him to their elite development squad. He has to ask himself how many players from that squad actually come through and play for the full side.
You either join a development squad to develop and move on or you do so to develop and play for that club. Clearly we are very much in the running to sign him if we are having a close look at him in action for us.
