EU's anti-Israel funding blitz exposed

The European Union has joined with radical left-wing NGOs in Israel to push for far-reaching social and political change in the Jewish state, among other things, lobbying the Israeli public in favor of the establishment of a Palestinian state and against Israel’s presence in Judea and Samaria.

 

One of the projects which the EU agreed to sponsor earlier this month to the tune of nearly $450,000 is titled “The Burden of the Occupation”, organized by the left-wing Adva Center.

A self-described policy institute “whose mandate is to examine Israeli society from the perspective of equality and social justice”, the Adva Center is headed by Barbara Swirski, a sociologist and gender studies expert.

 

According to a statement by the EU, the project aims to increase support among Israelis Jews for the two-state solution by distributing information regarding the alleged costs of Israel’s presence in Judea and Samaria.

 

“The overall objective of the project is to expand support for a two-state solution among Israeli Jews via mass distribution of tangible, relevant, timely and reliable information about the real socio-economic costs (including impact on growth, on conditions in the periphery, state allocations to social services and more) of the continued military occupation of the Palestinian territories.”

 

The EU has also sponsored a project by the far-left Bimkom and B’Tselem organizations aimed at pressuring Israel to retroactively legalize illegal Arab buildings in Judea and Samaria.

 

Titled “Putting Unrecognized Palestinian Communities on the Map”, the project received $334,240 from the EU in a donation earlier this month.

Another project, titled “Life Exposed – Challenging Human Rights Violations Through Forcible home Entries by Israel’s Security Forces Personnel in the West Bank” looks to block Israeli anti-terrorist and law enforcement activities in Judea and Samaria. READ MORE
