Portuguese press are linking Spurs with Quintero

Transfer Talk - Juan Fernando Quintero

Tottenham are closely monitoring 25-year-old (26 next January) Colombian international attacking midfielder Juan Fernando Quintero, according to Portuguese newspaper Olé.

Quintero played yesterday as Colombia cruised to victory against a very poor Poland side, who avoided playing friendlies to ensure they would be seeded for the World Cup.

Spanish newspaper AS,say that Real Madrid have contacted the River Plate midfielder on the advice of new manager Julen Lopetegui, who was also his manager at Porto. Quintero joined Porto in 2013 and has since been on three loan spells, Rennes (France) in 2015 for a season, Independiente Medellín (Colombia) in 2017 and now River Plate (Argentina).

The Argentine side have an option to buy him in 2019 for £3.53 million (€4m) so any deal would require a negotiation with both clubs.
