Some people just stubbornly ignore things…
It’s stupid of course, but some will do it all the same.
They prefer to stick their head in the sand, the unknown, for them, is to be feared.
These people are the ones who chase the latest gimmick, the latest shiny object.
Who ignore what they don’t understand, who ignore facts in favour of their own inexperienced opinion, who stay in their comfort zone while dreaming of great wealth by doing as little as possible.
Daydreamers.
These people haven’t a hope, they will always struggle.
These people will always buy the latest push button software (that’ll be out of date in no time anyway) from marketers who fuel their wild dreams and fleece them for money.
There is another type who just want the truth and so you seriously have to ask yourself which group you are in or want to be in.
They don’t want everything dressed up, they just want what works and what doesn’t plain and simple.
I’m hoping, for your sake, you want to be in or are in the latter group.
You are…
Good.
You, I can help.
That is an excerpt from a super advanced marketing tactics magazine that hasn't been launched yet. Reading it, it could apply to Spurs fans too.
On one hand, you have the supporters who take the time to understand how something fits in with the overall club strategy and on the other a blind hatred because an owner hasn't acted like a Sugar Daddy.
These folk are jealous of other clubs, shout like children at the slightest thing they perceive to be wrong and will look for the negative in any given situation.
They do that for justification. Just as when you buy a new car, you start to see the same cr on the road more often, it's your subconscious reaffirming you have made the right choice. At a wedding everyone goes to congratulate the bride and groom, reaffirming they have made the right choice.
They seek out other negative people on Social Media and in Forums for that reaffirmation.
Daydreamers.
These people haven’t a hope, they will always struggle.
The rest of us have a positive outlook, we look for the positive in everything because we know that is how the rich and successful people think.
Napoleon Hill when researching his famous book Think and Grow Rich, interviewed, I believe it eas hundreds, of rich, powerful and successful people to try and find a formula for success, which he did.
Let me tell you it did not contain negativity, quite the opposite.
A successful company is but with a vision, an unshakeable belief and a strategy to get there.
Daniel Levy has that for Tottenham.
The aim is to build a sustainable club that competes on an even playing field with Barcelona and Real Madrid, clubs of that stature. That isn't easy when there are five clubs richer than you in your own country.
The club has steadily grown, we have gone from 11th/12th placed finishes to 2nd/3rd placed finishes.
Part of that strategy is the same as the strategy I outlined in 2013, to find a manager who actually improves players, not one who just puts together a team. we searched for that man and believed it might be Andre Villas-Boas,it turned out he was not the right fit for us and thus searched again.
When we found Mauricio Pochettino, we conducted more research on him than we have ever conducted before. We spoke to his friend for instance about his character because that appointment had to be the appointment to take us into a new stadium and thus had to be right.
The negative dismiss that and say it was just luck because that fits their mantra.
As the club grows so our strategy grows. We have been through a period where we buy 4th/5th/6th choices. We have bought youth with potential and built a team from it. Those who don't make the grade drop by the wayside.
Now we have just seen a window where our transfer strategy was changed. We didn't bother with 4th/5th/6th choices, we concentrated on 1st choices, we concentrated on young players that all the Top 4 clubs want, Malcom, for instance, went to Barcelona.
Heis a prime example if you want to understand the transfer window and why it is so difficult to sign a player. Fand scream why we don't sign players early. Well, we tried to sign Malcom, Pochettino spoke to him over the phone, he visited the facilities.
However he waited and waited, no deal could be struck for him to his favoured destination, the easier UEFA Champions League qualifying route of Italy.
barcelona then made a call and the move was completed in no time. Had he signed for us or anyone else early then that opportunity would not have arisen and his agent will have known of the interest and the possibility.
It wasn't a great possibility so as a player do you wait for your dream move or do you just sign for anyone?
If a player wants to wait, you can't sign him.
If a club refuses to release a player you can't sign him.
Do you stick to your guns and say we have an excellent squad, if we can't add the players we want we will wait for another window or do you just buy any old player, a decent player, but still a 4th/5th/6th choice?
One set of fans say stick to your top choices, others buy someone, anyone, just buy someone. The fantasy is that it will be a top choice like Anthony Martial or Matthijs de Ligt. The reality was that was not possible.
We are not in the financial league of the other top 6 clubs, we can not throw money at a problem. As it was nobody strengthened much, they made changes, but arguably only Liverpool look stronger.
Are you going to stubbornly ignore things or embrace the ways of the successful?

If you haven't read Spurs New Dawn then it is an essential article you should read, possibly above all other articles. It looks forward, it explains the 65 out of 70 trophies, the goal vs the trophy, it explains in general.
Obviously, it is aimed at the positive people in life, those with the winning mentality outlook.
Enjoy.
