Chicks With Dicks: What Is Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia?

Congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) is a group of rare inherited autosomal recessive disorders characterized by a deficiency of one of the enzymes needed to make specific hormones. This results in the fetus not properly expressing the genitals that normally are developed according to the sex of the conceived individual. Babies who are born have various levels of either male or female genital characteristics. CAH occurs at the rate of approximately one in 13,000 to 15,000 births.  

This means that in a city of one million people, there are approximately 77 people whose genital dysfunction was caused forces beyond their control.  

Should we turn society upside down and destroy the social customs and legal protections of 500,000 people for the sake of these 77?  

Now I fully realize that there are other reasons why some people have sexual manifestation issues that are not their fault. And I realize that such people have a very difficult time in life, for which I do in fact have compassion.  

But we should we then deal with someone of age 22 who decides that even though they have a penis that they feel they would be more happy living life as a woman? In times past, that was their problem to deal with. We are headed for a social and legal environment where people like myself are going to be compelled to act as if it is perfectly fine and normal for a heterogematic (XY) person to act and be treated as if they are a homogematic (XX) person. And we are all going to be forced to act out this falsehood, this lie, and the resulting mirage of how such a person appears. 

I cannot help someone else to tell a lie, or to at out a lie of their own choosing and construction.  

Notice how energetically and almost violently some people feel when this lie, this falsehood and this mirage are truthfully discussed. It is clearly an existential issue with them, it cuts to the very core of their being. It is how they define themselves in their own minds. Anyone who dares tell the truth is treated as if they seek to murder that self identity. Indeed to refer to a person with their birth name and their real genetic morphology is now the crime of "deadnaming", as if they have buried their old person and have resurrected themselves in a new life with a new identity.  

Nothing good will come of this trend. Object to it now while you can. The time may come when objection is a crime. It already is in the UK, Canada and elsewhere.
